The Surface Laptop Go 3 is designed to be a lightweight, portable laptop that you can take with you on a whim, in part due to its lightweight and durable battery. Right now, the Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD version is $549.99 (originally $799.99) at Amazon and Best Buy.
In September, Microsoft released two new laptops in the Surface series: an ultraportable one, and a workhorse. The Surface Laptop Go 3, at 2.5 pounds and a 15-hour battery life, is the portable one (and the most portable of the series thus far). What's new is the increased specs compared to previous models, including a 12th Generation Intel Core i5 processor, an improved battery life, and a doubling of the RAM and storage, with 8GB and 256GB respectively.
The display for the Laptop Go 3 is a 12.4-inch 148 PPI touchscreen with a resolution of 1,536 by 1,024 and an aspect ratio of 3:2. It has fast-charging, which is convenient since you'll likely need to top off the battery when you're on-the-go. The webcam isn't great, only coming in with a 720p resolution webcam. As far as ports, it comes with a USB-C 3.2 port as well as a USB-A 3.1 port. And if you still have wired headphones, you'll be happy to know it comes with a headphone jack. The SSD is removable, giving you the option of up to 256GB. You can read more about how this laptop performs from PCMag's review.
If you're looking for an affordable ultra-portable laptop with decent specs, the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 3, at this price, is a great option.
